Breve Presentación

Dr. Ruzica Jevtic holds a BsC degree from the University in Belgrade in 2004 and a PhD from the Technical University of Madrid in 2009. She has worked at the University of California at Berkeley from 2011 to 2013 as a postdoctoral researcher: employed by the UC Berkeley for 6 months and 2 years more as a recipient of the Marie Curie IOF award. She has led a group of researchers at UC Berkeley and was a head of the power optimization group in ASPIRE project financed by the Ministry of Defense of the U.S.A. She has also supervised 3 PhD students and 3 undergraduate students during their final-degree project. She was the recipient of the Marie Curie IAPP award granted to her to work on an EU project with Infineon at the University Carlos III of Madrid from 2014 to 2015. Since 2015 she has been involved in teaching activities at two private universities in Madrid and in 2016 she had one maternity leave period. She has participated in 17 projects: 4 from the European Union, 3 from the U.S., 1 financed by Airbus, 4 from the Ministry of Education in Spain and 5 from the Technical University of Madrid. Her main research line is focused on optimizing the power consumption in applications for Internet-of-Things. Her PhD research enables quick power estimation of DSP circuits implemented in FPGAs and her postdoctoral research is focused on architecture and circuit-level techniques for energy efficiency in many-core processors. She has built three chips in cutting-edge nanoscale technology (28nm FDSOI fabricated by ST Microelectronics) to demonstrate the utility of the applied power optimization techniques. Her research has had an impact in the scientific community and she was invited to give a talk at 9 different institutions all over the world (U.S, Spain and Germany). She is the author of 12 papers in international SCI high impact journals with over 175 citations, where 5 of them are in top 25% (h-index is 8), and she is the first author in 50% of the papers. The results of her research work have been also presented in 13 international conferences and she holds one patent invention that resulted from the cooperation with Airbus. She is a recipient of 2011 Best Reviewer Award of the IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement journal, and was a member of program committee and a co-chair at the Design, Automation and Test Conference in Europe in 2015. She obtained the national accreditation for tenure-track professor (Profesor Acreditado Doctor) in 2014 and has been an IEEE Member since 2011.
