After completing a degree in Philosophy and working as a Senior Bank Official in Ireland for over a decade, I decided to change career and come to Spain.

I worked in a school for ten years teaching English language and as Director of a residental summer school before joining Universidad San Pablo CEU, Madrid in 1999. Working in the Faculty of Medicine, my job involves creating materials and teaching Medical English to Medical and Dentistry undergraduates. I also translate and edit medical and pharmaceutical articles for publication for the professors of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Universidad CEU San Pablo.

I have worked  with the Patrimonio Nacional (Palacio de la Granja de San Ildefonso) for over seventeen years creating materials and preparing and teaching English courses for guides and other events and assisting with tours of VIPs including the former secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon.

I have also created and taught specific English courses for undergraduate students at the F.S.P Centro Nacional de Vidrio (La Granja). I have worked with El CENEAM (Centro Nacional de Educación Ambiental), teaching English courses to the staff.

Regarding my research, I am interested in the colour studies. For this reason, I belong to the research group LECOBI (PC06/0720). Last year I gave a seminary about the perception of colour: Do we see colour the same? An analysis from various theories in the first Cycle Colour and Culture promoted by the research group LECOBI in the Instituto Humanidades de la Universidad CEU San Pablo.
